ABOUT REBECCA

Rebecca has a background covering various practice areas and industries including regulatory compliance, corporate and commercial law, finance, banking, lending, land use and real estate, and serves as the chair of the firm’s Corporate and Commercial practice group.  Rebecca regularly counsels for-profit and not-for-profit clients on a variety of transactions, involving the drafting of complex commercial documents and negotiating strategic corporate transactions.  Rebecca’s practice includes handling entity formations, licensing agreements, real property and asset acquisitions and sales, policy research and analysis, minority investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity/debt structuring and financing, land sales, acquisition and development (including zoning and planning, new construction, subdivision and rehabilitation), condominium and HOA formations (including the creation of offering plans and CPS-7 applications), 501(c)(3) matters, 1031 Exchanges, environmental issues, commercial leasing, easements, rights-of way, title clearance matters, imposition and disposition of liens, bonds, and land grants, and cyber security issues, risk management, and incident response matters,

 

As part of her role at the firm, Rebecca regularly interfaces with government regulators and agencies including the NYDFS, Pennsylvania Insurance Regulatory Office, and various Attorneys General.  Rebecca has in-depth knowledge of the regulations governing Government-Sponsored Enterprises (“GSEs”) and regulations promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”), the Gramm-Leah Bliley Act (“GLBA”);  the New York SHIELD Act,  NYS DFS 500, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), among others.   Additionally, Rebecca co-led a Steering Committee to oversee and manage firm operations, procedures and policies with the aim of meeting compliance under NYS DFS 500.   Rebecca frequently conducts educational seminars and trainings for compliance and scalability.
