ABOUT KEVIN

​

Kevin is a seasoned legal professional revered for his comprehensive knowledge in legal risk strategy, compliance, and adept management of diverse legal portfolios.   He honed his legal craft through a comprehensive career journey, encompassing transactional law, litigation, insurance subrogation, debtor/creditor law, and real estate matters. He played pivotal roles in property damage claims for utility companies, steering cases through trial and appeals with remarkable success.

His acumen extends to advocating for unions and their members across federal, state, and local courts, showcasing prowess in drafting briefs for the New York State Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division, and the United States District Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

In his current role, Kevin is the Practice Group Leader for the firm’s Corporate Law Practice, in which he is a trusted legal advisor to the firms’ corporate clients.  These clients span a variety of industries and sizes.  In this role he navigates multifaceted responsibilities, including negotiating, drafting, and overseeing vendor contracts, policies and procedures, non-disclosure agreements, and master service/supply agreements.

Notably appointed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for pivotal roles, Kevin contributed significantly to the development and management of a statewide system monitoring agency ethics, risk, and compliance.  He collaborated with key stakeholders, reviewed internal controls, and strategized to mitigate legal and operational risks effectively.

​

In prior roles, Kevin has supervised Information Security and Technology groups, comprising of attorneys and cybersecurity professionals, while serving as the legal compliance liaison for divisions within Public Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs.  His extensive experience includes drafting memoranda of understanding, data sharing agreements, and licensing contracts, alongside leading litigation strategies and class action lawsuits on behalf of agencies.

With a track record of defending the State of New York, its agencies, and employees across multifaceted lawsuits encompassing constitutional torts, civil rights violations, employment disputes, and administrative hearings, Kevin demonstrates a nuanced understanding of diverse legal arenas.

Driven by a commitment to excellence in both transactional and litigation spheres, Kevin remains a legal luminary, recognized for his meticulous approach to law, strategic counsel, and unwavering dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.
